I want to study LVN in the US?

I'm from the Philippines and I want to study LVN in the US next year. I've been researching and I saw some websites that need a certificate for being a CNA first before I can apply to LVN schools. Do I need to take a CNA program first before taking LVN? I'm a 31 year old single mother and I need the fastest route of becoming an LVN, work for a couple of years then go ahead with an RN program. Please advice. Thanks a bunch!
