So confused with this guy need advice asap?

So me n this guy have been talking for a 2 weeks we went out for lunch things went great we left and went our seperate ways he texted me said he had a really good time and hope i did too.. well thirty minutes later he called me 30 min later and said he called into work sick and wanted to take me out that nite i was like sure. so we went out had a great time came back to my place watched t.v. and we cuddled on the couch and kissed me on my forward told me i was gorgeous well he had to leave. So we have been texting ever since then and talking as well we had a chat about what he is looking for potentialy he said a great relationship and financial stability. so then i told him i would love to make plans for july 4 with him he said most def. but i told him i would love to make plans thats if he wanted to then i told him i just want to be honest with you cause i have been hurt in the past and i dont want u to lead me on thats all i ask. well then he responds "well if ur talking about a relationship thats prob not a good for me cause im still recouping from my divorce which happened over a 1 year ago. he says his finances are all screwed up. but i do like hanging out with u alot and would love to continue to do so... " well since he not looking for a relationship just yet i told him im not getting serious or looking for a relationship either. i told him i want to hang out and liked hanging out with him and see were things go ... Okay after all that is there any hope of a potential relationship, or dating, how do i get him to want to want to be in a relationship with me and not just another girl? what do yall think?
